Template Attributes

This page describes the values that appear in the status, quality_score, category, language, display_format, and sub_category fields of the template object, as well as the other fields returned by the API.

Template Object

The list, show, and create routes return the template in this format:

Status

Defines the template status. The status field returns id, code, and description.
Ids 10 and 11 have the same code (PAUSED) and the same description. They represent the first and second pause of the template, and the only way to tell them apart in the API and in webhooks is by status.id.
To filter the list by status, use the numeric id (for example, status=2). See List Templates.

Quality Score

Defines the template quality. The quality_score field returns id and code.

Categories

Defines the template category. The category field returns id, code, and description. The Creation via API column indicates whether the category is accepted by the create endpoint. Categories marked as discontinued remain in the table, but creating with them is rejected with 422.
At creation, send the category code (MARKETING, UTILITY, or AUTHENTICATION) in the category field.

Display Format

Defines whether a template is of the “order details” type. It only appears in the object when defined.

Sub Category

Defines whether a template is of the “order status” type. It only appears in the object when defined.
The GET /restrictions route reports whether the workspace has the order_details permission, related to the use of display_format and sub_category.

Languages

Defines the template language. In the language field at creation, send the language code. The returned object contains id, code, and name.
Id 0 (?, undefined) exists in the table, but must not be used when creating templates.
